When laziness attacks me

Over the past few months, I noticed that I have been buying a lot of books whenever I visit the mall. Aside from my addiction to shoes and clothes, books have now become a part of my regular purchases. However, the downside of this addiction is that I'm beginning to just accumulate them. My usual practice before was to finish one book at a time. I don't purchase another piece unless I have finished my current read. But my shopaholic hormones have been attacking me so I ended up having a pile of unread materials at home. I also realized that some friends gave me good reads last Christmas and I haven't read any of them yet.

I don't know if it's because of my crazy schedule or the fact that I am just stressing myself of different things over the past months. Perhaps I am just too lazy and I appreciate now sleeping than reading...

I really hope that part of that "old, energetic and industrious" me will reincarnate and return to me.

I am writing this post at 3:09 pm (yawning)... wondering what shall I do next to perk up my lazy self.

  1. What a cute new blog header!!
I usually read before bedtime, I find it so relaxing!
Sometimes it's okay to just do nothing. Enjoy :)

  2. You are certainly NOT lazy...anything but that! You try to do so much, my friend and there's never enough time! I see some good books in that stack! I have a stack from the library right now and some movies checked out, too! Enjoy your weekend, my name sake! Love, Diane ♥♥♥

  3. I am so sure that in time you will start reading more again, especially if you love to read! :) you just have a lot going on at the moment! :) let yourself enjoy the break, don't worry, you're not being lazy by any means! you just need a little extra sleep time right now. :) you are amazing. have a great day and i hope you sleep well!!

  4. tell me about "love the one you're with" when you're done. :)

    1. Hi AC! Sureness.... pray for me na ganahan at sipagin ako magbasa :)

  5. I know what you mean. I love gardening and reference books and just struggle with where to keep them all. I guess that is a case for a Kindle type device but I just love the feel of a book.

  6. I feel you! Though since getting an Android phone, it's more ebooks for me now (which is good because my bookshelves at home can not accommodate new additions unless I get more shelves). And right now, I'm going through Nicholas Sparks books which can be darn depressing at times (baka nakaka-contribute pa ito sa depression ko).

Parang gusto ko din yang "Love the one you're with".

  7. I haven't bought a book in forever! And I even got a kindle for my birthday in January and still haven't pulled it out of the box! Ah! I need to fix that problem ASAP!

  8. I love sophie kinsella's books. May bago n ulit syang release n book pero d ko p mabili tinatapos ko p kc ung Before Ever After, medyo busy din : )
