I have always felt that teaching in the US is not only underpaid but lacks some respect I see in other countries. We definitely don't do it for the loads of cash...but for the hearts & lives of our students. Being "Mommy" is number one with me - BUT, I sure do miss the classroom!! :)Jen @Sadie Inspiredhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14854581138897026073noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6575813723620766605.post-65960247343957596542011-06-03T22:58:39.745+08:002011-06-03T22:58:39.745+08:00I have always thought that being a teacher is one ...I have always thought that being a teacher is one of the hardest jobs, but it must be so rewarding :) I have been a teachers assistant for a few years now & I don't know how you guys do it everyday!!LBBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01139843269866420368noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6575813723620766605.post-7512340062995259982011-06-03T19:46:36.416+08:002011-06-03T19:46:36.416+08:00Hi Diane,

Your students are very lucky to have you as a teacher! Don't give up on your dreams!!!Dunihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14273071467750510363noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6575813723620766605.post-75633103137960725992011-06-03T04:23:58.665+08:002011-06-03T04:23:58.665+08:00As in your country, teaching is seriously underpaid...As in your country, teaching is seriously underpaid and unrewarded career here as well. And yet the future of our nation depends on the education of our little ones. As always I am grateful for people like you and those other teacher who have crossed my path and my children's path for they have changed us forever. Thank you for what you do!Vivianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14637925055438802411noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6575813723620766605.post-18127302136425845112011-06-03T00:06:42.004+08:002011-06-03T00:06:42.004+08:00*I meant "she" instead of "whe"...*I meant "she" instead of "whe"*Ricki Treleavenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00363865916909018452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6575813723620766605.post-69793687660014344722011-06-03T00:06:03.636+08:002011-06-03T00:06:03.636+08:00I love your last paragraph. She wrote how whe hated me in high school, but loved me in college because I had prepared her for college English. I was a little shocked because I thought she was such a sweet young lady...and she had hated me....but in all fairness, I was a strict teacher, and I worked my students hard!

Super post, Diane!Ricki Treleavenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00363865916909018452noreply@blogger.com
