eRAse Solution : A Rare Review and Product Find

I mentioned many times here how I love my trips to Watsons. My usual purchases are toiletries and some prettifying stuff, face powder and eye shadow. Although lately, I'm beginning to appreciate The Face Shop and other Korean cosmetic shops invading the local market. I also love Body Shop but my budget doesn't. Haha So most of the time, I settle with what Watsons can provide. I love random finds and those products sold in discounted bundle packs. It was Payday Friday when I dropped by Watsons to replenish my usual toiletries. While waiting for my turn to pay, I saw small bottles of eRAse solution with small print ads stating that it can remove scars, stretch marks and all those nasty skin marks. This caught my attention because God knows how am I addicted to different scar removal creams. My trusted brands are Contractubex and Dermatix, which are unfortunately not wallet friendly. When I discovered that eRAse only costs Php 99, I didn't think twice. I included it in one of my unexpected and sometimes, unnecessary purchases.

The dark acne scar near my left eyebrow became the guinea pig of my new product discovery. Given that I'm using a product that costs only Php 99, I wasn't expecting any good outcome. In my mind, this will be another useless and impulse purchase. I used the product every night and I believe I stopped using it because.... I'm just like that. Hahaha I'm only good at using beauty products on the first few weeks. I will forget about everything, make random trips to Watsons and purchase another useless product.  I only started to notice real effects a few weeks ago. I started to feel skin peelings when I was wiping my face. I checked on the mirror and true enough, my acne scar is starting to peel. And because I'm hard-headed, I scratched my face to induce more peeling. Haha I don't want to upload my evidence again (#medyoKadiri Hahaha), you can check out on my past Sunday post here

Satisfied with the results, I used eRAse to the scars on my legs. Blame the never ending insect bites. I wear pants everyday but I seem to be not protected at all. I was expecting the same results but unfortunately, the product seem to take some time to work. I believe this can be attributed to the fact that skin on the legs and other parts of the body are thicker. Hence, effects seem to be felt earlier on the face. A little precaution though, my cousin was so impressed with the product. She generously applied the product to all the acne scars on her face. The ending, she was profusely peeling. She stopped using the product because it was causing her painful itch and redness. A piece of advice : just like any commodity, use this in moderation. :)

  2. I tried using that product on my battle scars (aka postpartum stretchmarks). Had emptied an entire bottle and unfortunately, it didn't work for me. As in no peeling effect. Maybe a bottle is just enough lang kung sa face since mas manipis ang balat dun.

  4. I have massive stretchmarks on my b**bs and applied this one, in just 3 days, i already saw the effect. Been using it for quite sometime now but not on a regular basis and i'm happy as i see the effect. I also tried this on my pimples, and hours later it shrinks but it takes a day or two to fully disolve the mark. And the little nasty marks on my legs because of mosquiyo bites, it took me a week para mawala talaga yung black marks, still not on a regular basis use... it really just depends on a person's skin type kun gaano katagal eeffect yung product sayo...

  8. I had used ERASE Pimple Solution for my acne, and it heals faster compared to just using soap/facial wash on your face, it dries up the acne in just a day or two, it had also reduced acne breakouts, what's left now are pimple marks, so I decided to purchase the small bottle of ERASE Solution yesterday and will observe if it'll work on my pimple marks, hopefully it will. Thanks for your review by the way. I'm getting a good feeling about this new product discovery. :)

    5. I suggest that you try a small portion of the scar first. Be careful with the application because the layer of skin on our face is thinner and a bit more sensitive.

If you are reluctant with eRase try Zovirax cream or Dermatix. works well too but a bit expensive :) The two creams have been used my family members who suffered from chicken pox scars.

    1. I think it depends on the reaction of your skin. Although as far as I know, the skin on the face is thinner. Hence, it is more prone to reactions. In my case, the pimple mark I had on my face healed and peeled fast than the scars on my legs. It took weeks before I noticed the skin peelings.

Try it pero I advice, use it in moderation. We don't know, your skin might be too sensitive or will have an allergic reaction.

  14. Hi! I used this product 3days ago. I noticed the peeling stage yesterday. I actually have redness right now. It looks burned and It feels like sunburnt. As what I have read in other blogs, moisturizers aren't the solution for burned, reddish peeling skin as it will create heat in your face. Aloe vera is fine. The redness in my chin was lessen. Cold water would do as well.

    1. I never felt itchiness when I used eRase. Maybe because of the fact that I never used it for stretch marks. Only for dark scars. We have different skin types so I guess this explains why we have different reactions. I suggest, stop using the product for a while if itchiness and rashes are starting to proliferate.

    1. In my case kasi sa acne scar ko siya ginamit. So far, it worked. But as mentioned in the post, I believe kaya mabilis sa face mag peel is because mas manipis ang skin ng face. 1. In my case, eRase worked. Although for some who have sensitive skin like my cousin, the peeling went a little exaggerated. I think the solution varies according to skin type, not really whether you are male or female.

As for the "forced peeling" I don't actually recommend it. It might cause more redness and develop additional scars along the way. If eRase does not work for you, I suggest using contractubex.. although a little expensive. Another option is dermatix.

The problem is, yun pong scars ko sa face ay parang walang nangyayari. Namumula rin po siya lagi at yun pong scar ko sa pisngi looks like it was burned. I can't afford to go to a dermatologist. 1. Hi Dexter! Sorry to hear your experience. I was about to suggest going to a dermatologist. They are the best and right person to recommend. eRase does not work for all cases. As mentioned in my post, it does not seem compatible with the scars on my legs. Probably because the skin on the legs is thicker while the skin on my face is usually thinner. So the peeling became evidently faster. In your case, I believe the skin on your face was too sensitive for eRase.

The two other scar removal cream / gel I know are Contractubex and Dermatix. Between the two, Contractubex is a little cheaper. Can't remember the exact price though. I used it years ago, and the smallest tube costs around Php 400. Dermatix costs around Php 900.. for the smaller tube. Both are available in Mercury and Watsons. Another one pala is Zovirax Cream... I used it way way way back when I was 11 years old. Back then I suffered from chicken pox.

Yes, there's an acne written on the label. But I don't recommend applying the product on fresh and emerging acne. Based from experience, the product tend to cause skin peeling. If you apply the solution on fresh acne.... it might cause further infection. It's best to place safe. Apply the product only when the acne has completely healed.

    1. I'm not sure if it would work on deep scars. I have used it usually on flat pimple marks. But you can try to one or a few acne scars. Do some trial to be safe.

As for black heads, I'm not sure with it. As I see it, blackheads are like fresh wounds. It is not advised to use eRase for fresh wounds and the like. But if you are persistent, you might want to try it on small areas for trial.

Just be careful, as I have said in the post.... skin on the face is relatively thinner and probably, more sensitive.

    1. As mentioned in the post, don't alter the peeling process. Let your skin peel on its own. It might get irritated if you force your skin to peel. If you are experiencing redness, I suggest... stop using the product. It might be a sign of irritation. Try other scar removal cream such as Contractubex or Dermatix

      Hope this helps

    5. Hi Geneva! I haven't experienced red stretchmarks kasi. Rashes ba'to? They say Mustela products are great for healing stretch marks.

    7. I never experienced kasi yung case. Whenever I use erase, the usual effect is excessive skin peeling. If you are not comfortable with erase, I suggest stop using it.

    1. If I were in your shoes, stop using it. Let your skin rest for a while.
