Anthology Shoes
I would like to believe that I had a rare productive weekend. Yes, it was rare! Over the past months, weekend for me means sleeping more than eight hours, reading my hopeless romantic paperbacks and watching my dose of Korean drama series. Surprisingly, everything started out early last Saturday.

My day started with my monthly visit to Ms. Orthodontist. It was time to tighten the toothy metal wires again. I later headed to the house of my dear friend M. I shared my little knowledge in Statistics to M because she needed it for her project (Yihee, may raketship si M! haha). My day ended with a birthday party and mini-reunion with my Fun Fab Fam.

Someone turned YOUNGER! Happy Birthday Kuya D!
Thank you dearest cousins. Hope we could do this more often.

While I always look forward to weekends, weekdays gave me its own set of beautiful things.

No lectures and classes for a week!
Half of the semester is over and it will be examination week tomorrow. While I'm spared from rendering lectures, I have to spend the next week checking papers and preparing status reports.

I will never miss a Sunday series without my overflowing food posts.

Real meat miniburgers and french fries owned and managed by my college kids

To my few workplace friends and colleagues  (just in case you land here),
please support the business venture of my college kids :)

Purchases from 7-11 is usually comprised of a tumbler of Coke (to keep me awake because I don't drink coffee), Bread Pan, bag of Oishi's ridges and a piece of Cavendish banana to balance everything haha

On the second photo is a very sweet Sansrival slice from the workplace's cafe. It was too sweet to keep me awake and even threatened me for a possible sore throat.

Still at the workplace, I will be forever addicted to this Korean ice cream
Ice cream sandwich with vanilla and red beans

Manang's Chicken and French Macaroons from Tous Les Jours

I was able to taste another chicken meal that joins the bandwagon for the best fried chicken. After attending a meeting within the Makati area, I meet up with my friend A. Since I rarely visit the place, we ended up trying Manang's Chicken in Glorieta. And my verdict? Let's reserve that in another post :)

After having a full dinner, A and I dropped by Tous Le Jours to avail of their closing time sale. It was my first time to try this Korean based bakery. I managed to take home a few bread and two pieces of these little treats.

Aside from food, the other things that never fail to make me happy
Fashion Favorites!

Forever blue blouse from Apple & Eve and my newest pair of Anthology flats
Both items were scored from a little sale to compensate my guilt and evil shopaholic hormones ;)

Wishing everyone a Beautiful Sunday!

And no, I'm not talking about this

Pagod-ah! In the Filipino "gay" lingo, Pagoda means dead tired. And yes, this perfectly exemplifies what I feel as I'm typing this post.

I woke up early to attend my friend's unlikely weekday and early morning wedding.
She chose me as one of her bridesmaids so I really need to prepare. Since the wedding was too early, it was impossible for me to drop by the beauty salon. In effect, I did everything my way. Truth is, I left everything to my expensive MAC Studio Fix. Haha If there's one thing I learned from my friend's wedding, it's the need for me to finally learn how to do real and formal make up.

Before heading to the church, I need to drop by the office to check some files and prepare documents for my evening classes. I finished everything and I was able to arrive at the church just in time for the wedding. I don't want my tardiness to ruin my friend's special day. Good thing, the heavens connived for me. I was able to get a smart taxi driver! :) He knew the shortcuts and secret escapes from the everyday traffic.

After the wedding, I rushed back to the office to beat a deadline for another department. I almost thought that the rest of the afternoon will run smoothly. I was called to join an afternoon meeting ... which meant I have to move away from my current task. In my mind, I wanted to shout, not this time please... Left with no choice, I attended the meeting while my mind is occupied with other tasks.

The meeting lasted for hours and little do I know, it's already time for my evening class. Since I was so tired and preoccupied, headache started to attack me. I checked my bag and there's someone who saved the day. I still have pieces of Advil and Dolfenal. Thank you pain relievers!

I was looking forward to end the day. I was excited to deliver my lecture and finish everything. A little suprise came in because the classes were suspended as a result of the heavy rains. Hooray! I rushed home as I was afraid of getting stranded with the flock of commuters.

I safely arrived home feeling very tired and sleepy. As much as I want to finally call it a day, I have to prolong my agony. I still need to prepare my lectures for tomorrow's class.

This may not be my best day. But something made me smile despite of everything.

While my patience is dwindling and my irritation level heightens, I found this package waiting for me.

St. Barts in Ecru - My 4th pair from Anthology

Happiness! Anthology flats are on sale here. I ordered this pair online and got in 2 days. A secret to confess, the shoes are on regular prices in their mall outlets. ;)  So if you have plans of acquiring a pair, better check out their online sale.

PS This should have been published last night. I think I forgot to hit the publish button before I logged out. Haha

I hope so...

To be honest, I don't know what to write for today's Beautiful Sunday. I'm so occupied. Up to this date, I'm praying for something to happen. If my wish will not be granted, I will be sad. But if God has better plans, let it be. I'll be patiently waiting and hoping.

The past week was just ... fine? I would like to believe that it was. There were the usual unpleasant surprises but let me focus on the better things. As I type this post, I'm trying my best to recall the blessings and a few good things that happened.

One
I had an initial meeting with a "possible" freelance client. Unlike my previous clients, there's still a lot to settle with the project's details. I'm praying that client will be able to resolve the definite objectives of the project. I wanted her to finish her early because that would mean earlier earnings for me as well. Haha But seriously, who doesn't want accomplished works in the soonest possible time.
Emote! Emote! Dear client, I hope we could lessen the waiting period.

Two
I found a new mild cologne that addresses my allergy. Heavy perfume is not for me because I always end up suffering from headaches whenever I wear them. I first saw this cologne from a friend at the workplace. I love it's mild baby powder scent.
Milk Plus Shower Cologne from The Face Shop

Best of all, it's reasonably priced at Php 499 at The Faces Shop.

Three
Teaching would soon soon soon be over. The upcoming week is the final examination. I'm hoping that while I'm struggling to write this post, they are also making all means to study and pass my subject ;)

Meantime, I'm fattening myself with this box of sweetness as I'm typing this post
Dunkin Donuts' Munchkins

Four
I have new shoes! Haha This is my third pair from Anthology.
Anthology Shoes - Sydney II in Chamoisee

Five
New books on the nook!

I'm not into non-fiction but for a change, allow me to try them. Anyone who have read any of these books? I appreciate both positive and negative feedback.

I'm off to treat my Nanay to a mall date :)

Happy Sunday to everyone!
