By the time you are reading this post, I am already off to my destination. I will blog about the place soon :) For now, please send me all the luck and happiness. I really hope that this trip will bring me a lot of happy memories.
A credit card and internet connection in a sleepy, working Wednesday morning, what happens? Online shopping, kill my shopaholic hormones now :)
So here's the full account of my sinful Wednesday morning,
I've been encountering Zalora from some of the fashion bloggers I stalk. My curiousity made me google the site and I was brought to a heaven of shoes, clothes and bags :)
Online shopping was never in my vocabulary...before. I only visit online stores for browsing and window shopping. I was never convinced with the idea because I always wanted to ensure a perfect fit whenever I purchase shoes or clothes. I likewise don't want to risk my time and money to items that only look good to the built of the skinny models. As I was window shopping in Zalora, I saw one of my dream shoes, Anthology's St. Barts in midnight blue.
Though I know my size in Anthology, my heart remained still. I was convinced that there will be no force strong enough to make me purchase the pair. But I was all wrong :) I learned that Zalora is giving away a free Php 250 gift voucher for new members. And this started the story of my first online shopping experience.
Ordering at Zalora is fast and easy. Add your items to your cart, sign up, enter your credit card number and that's it! After the confirmation, the item will be shipped at no cost to anywhere in the Philippines. But here's the catch, they are claiming that they can deliver orders within three hours to areas within Metro Manila. My order and payment was confirmed at 11:13 am. Did my order arrive in 3 hours? Unfortunately, my shoes was delivered at around 3:30 pm, an hour late of my expected time. Honestly, I wasn't frustrated or disappointed. I wasn't also expecting the strict compliance of 3 hours, considering the traffic and intermittent weather condition.
As much as I promised myself not to anymore use my credit card, Zalora and the internet connection are not helping. If possible, may I request our IT Department to include Zalora and other online shopping sites to their blocked sites. :-) If not, I am surely on the way to my own shopaholic self destruction. As much as I love shoes, clothes and bags, I don't want to become the real life version of Rebecca Bloomwood.

Late last year, I won a free copy of the digital scrapbooking software called, My Memories Suite from Janelle of Of Pinks and Fairy Tales. Some of my fellow blog friends also hosted a similar giveaway. So I believe some of you might already be familiar with the software.
In case you haven't heard of My Memories, here's a short clip that depicts the endless opportunities you can do with the software
I have used My Memories for the past months and here's the output of my initial attempts
After using the software for a number of months, here's my personal review:
Pros
1. It is user friendly. The interface is easy to navigate, as compared to other photo editing softwares. I am by the way using Windows to operate the software.
2.You can choose from a number of free scrapbook templates. The software is preloaded with templates you can choose for different occasions. You can also download additional templates from their website for free.
3. Loading and editing the pictures are easy. You have just to point, drag and drop the pictures to the built in template.
4. The software still allows you to create and design scrapbook template. You can also alter the preloaded templates.
5. You can directly print your scrapbook album. Hence, for those who want to venture in photo and graphic design business, My Memories can be a great software investment.
I have identified one Con
1. I am not familiar with the disk space requirements and all those technical aspects. However, I feel that the software will work better if you have a higher disk space allocation.
I wanted to share to my precious readers the opportunity of experiencing My Memories. So here's your chance to own and experience My Memories for FREE.

Over the past few months, I noticed that I have been buying a lot of books whenever I visit the mall. Aside from my addiction to shoes and clothes, books have now become a part of my regular purchases. However, the downside of this addiction is that I'm beginning to just accumulate them. My usual practice before was to finish one book at a time. I don't purchase another piece unless I have finished my current read. But my shopaholic hormones have been attacking me so I ended up having a pile of unread materials at home. I also realized that some friends gave me good reads last Christmas and I haven't read any of them yet.
I don't know if it's because of my crazy schedule or the fact that I am just stressing myself of different things over the past months. Perhaps I am just too lazy and I appreciate now sleeping than reading...
I really hope that part of that "old, energetic and industrious" me will reincarnate and return to me.
I am writing this post at 3:09 pm (yawning)... wondering what shall I do next to perk up my lazy self.

I never had plenty of friends. Dear God knows that and I prefer to keep things that way. I've said many times that I never love the idea of becoming everyone's apple of the eye. I'm happy and contented with the few valuable friends I have. Anna was one of the counted friends I have in my entire years of existence. I knew her since I was 10 years old. We were classmates, seatmates turned friends. Though I admit, I wasn't that good to her before. After finishing grade four, we were never classmates again. We reunited 6 years later, our last year in the same all girls school. We went to different universities for college, but distance never hindered us to continue our friendship. She would invite me for some mall escapades and live basketball games. This reminds me that she is partly to blame for my addiction to some basketball players. We would sacrifice some of our allowances for the two hours of happiness in a live ball game. We usually watch games on a Sunday and even though I have exams on the suceeding week, I never cared. More than pleasing our parents with decent grades, that was how we defined happiness.
When we finished college, we both learned the difficulty and value of earning money. We would usually meet once a month for our regular dose of food trip, shopping and mall escapades. We don't share the same taste with clothes, shoes and bags. But we both love the idea of splurging with food. She is my only friend who can risk our hard worked money in exchange for discovering the best food in town.
When Anna moved to a company that required her to work in a graveyard shift, our meetings became less often. She earned her group of friends at work and though I miss her, I was happy knowing that she was happy. A lot of things happened to my own life and career and I admit that I refuse to share my happiness with her. I regretfully distanced myself because I don't want to appear as the demanding and burdening friend. I tried my best to made her feel that I am always around, whenever she needs or doesn't need me.
Before Christmas of last year, she told me that a lot of changes happened in her workplace. She confided that she had intentions of quitting. To leave or stay in the company that made her whole again for 4 years, was a decision that bothered her for months. Until two weeks ago, she told me that she finally resigned. I wanted to cheer her up so for two consecutive weekends, I visited her. She was devastated with her decision and I tried my best to convince her that everything will soon be fine.
The last time I saw Anna was Saturday afternoon of March 3. She was sad and unwell. Sunday night and while I was rushing some freelance work, I received a call that stopped my world. Anna already passed away....
I went to her wake the other day and I was finally slapped with the reality that she is forever gone. I hugged her mother and words cannot express the sorrow we felt.
I know you are in a better place now Anna. You are already free from all the pains and anxieties of life. In your 28 years of existence, God felt that you have proven enough of yourself. You have lived a full life at a young age. Thank you for the friendship. Thank you for appreciating my humble achievements. Thank you for the wonderful memories. Thank you for the simple reason of coming to my life.
More than a friend, you are a part of me. Now that you are gone, everything feels like I lost a part of myself. And I know, a lifetime will never be enough to rebuild that part of my life.
You will always be in my heart.

Hello everyone! To those who have been regularly visiting my blog, you are more or less familiar with my blog's design and layout. Despite the bulk of workload, I was able to squeeze in some attempts to change the look of my blog. I was restless and not contented with my blog design.
I used to love designs that showcase the few good pictures I have captured. I later realized that I wanted something clean, simple and elegant. Here it is! Hopefully, this is a successful attempt. I would love to hear your thoughts.
